EDS CCTV units contain state of the art equipment to undertake surveys of drains, sewers, or culverts from 50mm (usually internal difficult access) to 1500mm diameter, perhaps in Highway. On drains greater than 225mm diameter, pan and tilt surveys are available. All CCTV units are equipped with trailer jetting equipment to allow clearance of blockages to enable surveys to be completed. All work is carried out in accordance with the Confined Space Regulations using experienced, trained operatives and the required safety equipment.
On completion of the works a copy of the video report in DVD format together with written report and drainage plan are provided to the customer. Drainage plans are produced in CAD format, preferably using topographic survey base data, or alternatively from Ordnance Survey background.
A CCTV survey may be required for many reasons. It is an essential tool for investigating problems such as repeat blockages, smells, water in cellars etc. It is also widely used in the assessment of the condition of underground assets for property and land purchase or for the design of long term maintenance plans.
We undertake CCTV surveys to provide information for designers, to investigate pollution incidents, and to produce drainage plans to satisfy ISO 14001 or IPPC requirements. Whatever the reason, a coordinated, integrated, approach is essential to ensure a meaningful survey and accompanying plan is produced.
On completion of a CCTV survey, if required, we can offer expert advice regarding recommended remedial works and will also comment on likely cause of damage.
