Environmental Drainage Solutions have a proven track record in the production of site drainage plans, to levels of detail appropriate to the intended use. Drainage plans can be required for several reasons, from management of underground assets, to the requirements of the Environmental accreditation process, or for exisiting contributing impermeable areas assessment. Our investigations can range from connectivity only survey to full condition and connectivity survey with manhole and ancillary reporting.
For brown-field site development, we can economically produce plans sufficient to adequately demonstrate connectivity to the sewerage system or local watercourse for proposed discharge rate negotiations, utilising the optimum balance of CCTV surveys, sewer tracing and dye testing. Results are presented in a comprehensive report with scale plan highlighting impermeable areas and discharge points.
Costs incurred determining existing contributory impermeable area are almost always recouped many times over by preventing the imposition of expensive storage requirements by the sewerage undertaker or the Environment Agency. Over-estimation of existing contributing impermeable areas can result in flooding on completion of the development and severe disruption to your customers. EDS have the experience to provide an effective and comprehensive report for the sewerage undertaker or the Environment Agency.
Accurate location of drains and sewers within a prospective site for redevelopment will enable optimal design of the site layout, whilst accommodating easements to public sewers or watercourses and ensuring compliance with Approved Document H4 of Building Regulations. EDS offer a sewer and drain location service through use of sonar systems in conjunction with CCTV. We also offer an "As built" plan production service.
