Domestic Drain Clearance
Domestic blockages are generally cleared by manual rodding, high pressure jetting or electromechanical rodding.
For health and safety and operational efficiency reasons, EDS always utilise 2 man teams to clear blockages. In certain instances, we may also recommend that drains are CCTV surveyed following completion to ensure the blockage has been removed or the cause identified for future remedial works where appropriate.
Secondary blockages often form upstream of the original blockage and a post clearance CCTV inspection will ensure none remain, avoiding further problems. EDS clearance units carry CCTV equipment at no extra cost.
High pressure jetting is a specialist operation requiring trained staff and correct selection of pressure and jet head to ensure any blockage is efficiently dealt with and damage to the drain is avoided. Select your contactor carefully!
