Structural defects in a drainage system, such as fractured pipes, displaced joints and intruding connections may not present an immediate threat to the structural integrity of the pipe. However, they can cause repeat blockages, as they provide an obstruction for solids and debris to become snagged on.
A blocked drain may be nothing more than a one off event, but in some circumstances it is an indication of an underlying problem. We can provide a range of solutions to suit each situation.

In circumstances where, following the clearance of a blockage, structural defects are suspected to exist, we may recommend several alternative courses of action.
Where the blockage has never occurred before, it may be prudent to monitor the situation for repeat blockages. However, If blockages have occurred previously, then we may recommend a CCTV survey to investigate the problem.
In a minority of instances it may not be possible to clear the blockage and a CCTV survey would be ineffective due to sewage levels. In these circumstances we offer emergency remedial works to resolve the problem. Where requested, we are happy to liaise with your insurance company or their appointed consultants to progress the matter.
