We operate a formal Health & Safety system and will provide site specific RAMS produced by our in House qualified and experience Health & Safety Director.  Site Operatives are experienced and trained in their relevant disciplines.

No Obligation Free Consultation:- We are always happy to discuss drainage issues and will provide relevant information.  It is our experience that honest expert advice best reassures the client of the quality and value of our service.  

 

No Callout Charge:- The hourly rate you are quoted is for time on site and includes our travel overheads.  We will never request a callout charge.  

 

Hourly Rate:- Our staff are paid hourly and therefore we charge hourly.  Whilst a fixed price may initially appear advantageous, it will almost certainly result in a more expensive final cost.  The price you are quoted is an hourly rate for a fully equipped blockage unit, with all the necessary equipment and expertise to clear most blockages (exceptions include concrete, thick tree roots etc).  The majority of our competitors operate single manned blockage units.  Here at EDS our blockage response units include two operatives.  Not only does this ensure all works can be undertaken safely, but also ensures maximum efficiency and minimum time on site, and hence minimum cost to the client.  

 

We will keep you informed of progress and always seek authorisation to go beyond the agreed estimated duration.  

 

For programmed works, we are usually happy to provide a fixed price quotation based upon information known at the time the quotation is submitted. We will always be realistic and make you aware of any likely pitfalls or potential for unforeseen circumstances.  It is in neither our interest or your interest to be over optimistic in order to win work.  We are interested in developing a working relationship with our commercial clients based upon honesty, trust, and competence.

We understand that what is "on site" to us, may be your home or place of business, or that of your customers.  We will treat it as such.  All units carry shoes covers, protective sheeting etc to ensure that if we do need to enter your property, we will  leave it in the condition we find it (but with a working drainage system!).  If we are carrying out excavation works, we will take pre and post works photographs and endeavour to reinstate to match existing as closely as possible.  We will always highlight any likely difficulties prior to commencement of works.  On completion, the site will be left clean and tidy, and you will be asked to confirm your satisfaction.  If you have any concerns whatsoever regarding the works, please ring the office immediately and a Director will address the matter.

 

All EDS staff carry proof of identity, including a photograph and telephone number for verification. EDS only use staff and operatives competent in the work involved and all works will be carried out in accordance with current best practice Health and Safety practice.

On Site:- EDS will arrive on site within 1 hour of an appointment, in a vehicle clearly marked with the Company’s name.  If we are running late (or early!) you or your client will be contacted to ensure that this is acceptable.  All EDS staff carry proof of identity, including a photograph and telephone number for verification.  We will keep you informed of progress during the course of the works. Our blockage response units include two operatives which means maximum efficiency and minimum time on site, and hence minimum cost to you, the customer.
